A long-sleeve sleep shirt with a zipper running down each side, from the armpit to the cuff.

Zipped, you still move normally — your arm just can't drift up over your shoulder. Unzipped, it's a normal shirt.

This is for you if raising your arm hurts your shoulder.

That's the whole test. We don't need to know what your doctor called it, or whether you've been. If your arm going up is the part that hurts, then it going up for hours while you're asleep is worth doing something about.

How it works

Research on arm position has found that pressure inside the shoulder is at its lowest with the arm down, and higher when the arm is raised or when you're lying on it.

Our shirt does one mechanical thing about that: the zipper joins each sleeve to the body, so your arm can move but can't rise above your shoulder. Once the shirt is on, hold the cuff and the bottom hem and slide the zipper to wherever you want it. The locking zipper stays where you set it. Patent pending.

We're not a medical device, and we're fine with that

No FDA anything, no clinic behind us, no surgeon's name on the label. It's a shirt with a zipper down each side. That's the entire idea — and it's exactly why it works on someone who's asleep and not paying attention.

New sizing — please read this bit

We've switched to true men's sizing. Our earlier shirts were labelled unisex — "Men's Large / Women's XL" and so on — which caused more confusion than it solved. Sizes are now simply Small through 2XL, cut to men's measurements. If you're between sizes, go up. Full size guide with garment measurements →

New in this run

A locking zipper that stays where you set it. Pull tabs so it's easier to work one-handed. Thumbholes in the cuffs so the sleeves don't ride up. Lighter fabric.

95% cotton, 5% spandex.

30 nights, risk free. Try it. If your shoulder doesn't care, send it back and we'll refund you. No questions, no form.

One exception, and we'd rather say it. If you're recovering from a stroke or a spinal cord injury, or you can't easily move your own arm, please don't use this — talk to your physio instead. And if you're post-surgery and your surgeon has you in a sling, that sling is doing a job this shirt isn't designed for. Ask them first.

  • I received the top 2 weeks ago and I'm really pleased. The top works really well – they do take some getting used to but I am persisting for the greater good. Thanks again for the extra large, I'm 6ft 1" of slim build and I find the extra large to be more comfortable on me.

    Before you ask

    Frequently Asked Questions

    How does it work?

The zipper joins each sleeve to the body of the shirt. You can still roll over, shift, get comfortable — your arm just can't rise above your shoulder. That keeps it in a more natural position for the hours you're not paying attention.

Can I choose how much it holds?

Yes. Slide the zipper to any point and it locks there. Fully open, nothing's holding. Fully closed, the most. One arm or both. Unzip before you walk around.

    Is it comfortable?

It's a cotton tee. The first few nights you'll notice the hold when you reach up — that's it working.

    What size should I order?

True men's sizing, Small to 2XL. Between sizes, go up. Size guide with garment measurements.

    Who shouldn't use this?

If you're recovering from a stroke or a spinal cord injury, or you can't easily move your own arm, please don't — talk to your physio. If you're post-surgery and your surgeon has you in a sling, that sling is doing a job this shirt isn't designed for. Ask them first.

What if it doesn't work for me?

Thirty nights. Email contact@webbedapparel.com, we send a label, you get refunded.

    How do I wash it?

Machine wash, zip it closed first.

    Where do you ship?

From Kingston, Ontario to the US and Canada. $88 either way, shipping included.
